A bit about me...

If you are newly engaged, big congratulations! Planning your wedding is such an exciting time, it was for us, and a lot of fun too.

Photographing weddings and being part of the bride and grooms big day is such an honour, a creative feast, while being around so much love and laughter and emotion and fun. I feel so lucky to be able to do what I love for a living.

Things you might like to know about me:

• For the first 20 years of my life I lived in Denmark with my family and after completing A-levels travelled around the world on a shoestring for 3 years while taking tons of photographs until successfully persuading Berlingske Tidende/Scanpix (a national newspaper/photo agency) to employ me as a full time photographer.
• In 1998 I came to the University of Derby, got a 1st class honours degree in photography and spent an additional year studying photography at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University in Australia.
• Back in Derby I spent the next 4 years working for Venture among others, photographing people on a daily basis while setting up my wedding photography business which is now in it’s 8th year.
• I love photographing weddings and catching the real moments that are going to be so meaningful for years to come. I love the job because it is extremely personal and allows me to meet so many great people.
• …oh, and I met Lee, persuaded him to get married - and along came James, our amazing son.

Karina is calm, creative, fun and understanding of even the most crazy bride, and will go to any length to get the perfect shot, even climbing on a garage roof!

We always said hanging too many posed wedding photos in our home was clichéd but each photograph is a work of art in its own right. I'd happily get copies of them all and cover our walls.
